Jamii Pae Consulting LLC was formally founded after years of informally consulting with managers and leaders wondering how to build equitable and inclusive workplaces. They wondered why compliance wasn’t working. Why great employees were leaving shortly after joining the organization. In short, practicing “traditional” HR is not enough if an organization wants to recruit, retain, and engage a flourishing workplace (or community). It is imperative to shift the conversation away from how organizations recruit candidates to how they’re received by and experience the organization. One question that organizations must start asking new employees: “Is this the same organization the recruiter and hiring manager described to you during the recruitment and hiring process?” If the answer to this question is no, then it’s important to find out why. Addressing this gap is even more critical to create an equitable and inclusive workplace. This is why Jamii Pae.
